Meet Greg Mooney, CEO of Cosaint Arms®.  It’s important for you to know your gun manufacturer.

If you don’t know Greg, he served as President & CEO of STI International, which is now Staccato.  Earlier in his 49-year career Greg worked as Vice President of Sales/Marketing for the Benchmade Knife Company.  He was promoted two times.  First to SVP of Operations and then to President of Benchmade.  Greg was recruited from Benchmade to serve as General Manager of Benelli USA.

Greg contributed to each of his employers while learning something special and unique at each company.  Benchmade’s founder, Les de Asis, pioneered the concept of working with custom knife designers to take their designs and build them in a modern manufacturing environment.  Benchmade calls this “Production Custom.”  Benelli, a recognized premier worldwide manufacturer of semi-automatic shotguns, has depth of manufacturing expertise.  At Benelli the company grows its sales volume while holding its premium position due to their innovation and manufacturing expertise, which again is “Production Custom.”  STI International (now Staccato) was known primarily as a competition handgun manufacturer.  By listening to the market, as President & CEO, Greg steered STI in the direction of his experience – “Production Custom” to serve a broader handgun market.

Frustrated with corporate politics and driven by his passion for innovation and exceptional customer service, Greg exchanged corporate pressure for his own entrepreneurial challenge.  In 2018 he and his wife, Kim, chose to go rogue.  Together, they co-founded Cosaint Arms®.

Now, seven years later, Cosaint has built its name and reputation on Greg’s vision of innovation, quality, and outstanding customer service.

Charles Lemmon, an investor and firearms enthusiast in Dallas, Texas was introduced to Greg in 2017 by the former Chairman of the Board of STI International.  He was Chairman when Greg served as President & CEO.

After five years of Charlie and Greg “getting to know each other,” Charlie formed Your Unique Arms, LLC in August 2022.  Charlie recognized Greg’s mastery of firearm design and “Production Custom” manufacturing.  Charlie and Greg respect and trust each other.  The vision of Your Unique Arms™ is to develop and promote unique high performance firearms.  Greg suggested Cosaint Arms® could be a good resource for Charlie’s vision of limited quantities of unique, premium double stack 1911 firearms.   Greg agreed to contribute his name and knowledge of design to blend innovative function with artistry in each collection.  Each collection is designed by Greg, manufactured by Cosaint Arms®, tested by Cosaint’s gunsmiths, personally inspected by Greg and deemed “worthy” as Greg signs a Certificate of Authenticity included with each firearm in every collection prior to shipment.

All limited edition firearms contracted by Your Unique Arms™ are 100% manufactured by Cosaint Arms® in East Flat Rock, North Carolina.  One hundred percent (100%) of all components in each firearm are made in the U.S.A.  Cosaint Arms® makes each limited-edition firearm to exacting specifications and ships each collectible pistol together with accessories in a custom case directly to a customer’s designated FFL

There will be no more than four collections in any one year.  Each collection will be different and strictly limited to only Seventy-Five (75) firearms – each at a reasonable price.  When released, each edition will be in stock.  That’s right, no waiting once the gun is introduced.  Shrewd enthusiasts purchasing ALPHA will have first dibs at that same serial number (#1 through #75) for each successive collection.

Over the past 2+ years Greg has worked with his gunsmiths and experienced shooters to design the ALPHA, BRAVO, and CHARLIE collections.

During the process of making ALPHA, Cosaint Arms® had difficulty obtaining quality aluminum grips.  Greg communicated this complexity to Charlie.  Greg also shared his evolving ideas to make aluminum grips superior to other aluminum grips on the market.  Your Unique Arms™ hired a professional engineer who took Greg’s ideas and produced models and prints.  The models were modified several times until the grip and its texture was “Just Right.”

Several shooters began contacting Greg to purchase the grip, which was designed for firearms made by Cosaint Arms.  Greg recognized a large market for upgrade accessory parts for double stack 1911 pistols.

Charlie formed Extra+Points™, which is a division of Your Unique Arms™.  Soon after ALPHA is released, Extra+Points™ will offer an extensive line of double stack 1911 enhancements including machined aluminum grips.  A matching magwell designed by Greg will be available as an option together with an improved extended slide stop.  In prior years Greg designed a tool-free guide rod for double stack 1911 pistols.  His tool-free guide rod is different and superior to anything on the market.  Greg worked closely with a patent attorney.  Now, his unique tool-free guide rod is patented (not patent pending).  This unique enhancement will soon be available to shooters.

Because of Greg’s experience and talented team, Extra+Points™ has more than 150 SKUs in development and manufacturing.  All upgrade enhancements sold by Extra+Points™ are proudly branded as “Greg Mooney Edition” upgrade enhancements.
